SOCIAL PROGRAMME: Estonian National Museum & The Embassy of Inner Waters - 26th of October

2.jpeg

On the evening of the 26th of October, we shall visit the Estonian National Museum with a guided tour. Our brand new national museum is an architectural masterpiece combined with great exhibitions from the past with modern touches to get visitors familiar with Estonian way of thinking.

After the visit to the museum, we will continue with a dinner on boat. The pop-up restaurant is called The Embassy of Inner Waters and to enjoy the evening to the fullest, there will be well selected Estonian delicacies of our national cuisine and as a cherry on the cake, we can enjoy a private performance of a talented young jazz-singer Susanna-Aleksandra.

INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE CONFERENCE: Becoming a medical specialist in Europe in the 21st century - 25th October

This year there will be an International Postgraduate Training (PGT) conference the day before our meeting and we really hope you can join!

The conference is a grande finale of an international project we have been running for the past 2 years to compare postgraduate training in the Baltic and Nordic countries to global WFME standards and we really hope you can join the conference to give a European wide perspective and improve specialty training in all of our countries.  EJD board will present the results of the training survey conducted last year and emphasise the struggles we have in different countries.

We will also have medical education experts from the UK, Netherlands and Sweden to help us understand how training is run or should be run and what are the changes happening around Europe/globally in postgraduate training. The governmental and university representatives from the countries involved in the wider project will also give the perspective of the law makers and how they see the training changing. The full day conference will be held on the 25th of October at the V-Spa Conference Center. Please come join the discussion and feel free to invite any local/national stakeholders to come with you.

Importantly - the accommodation expenses for the 24th - 25th of October (night before the conference) for the EJD delegates will be covered by our project funding.
